About our business

Able Self Storage is a trusted family run business based at Mount Barker in the Adelaide Hills South Australia and sell moving supplies from 75 South Rd Thebarton to Adelaide customers .Able is still run by the original owner.

We started in self storage back in 198. Since then we have diversified to develop our own packaging supplies and box manufacturing factory at Mt Barker in the Adelaide Hills.

David has been on the Self Storage Association of Australasian board for 3 separate terms and Treasurer for 2 years totaling 15 years. In 2008 Able Self Storage & Removals won the innovation award for Australasia. David has retired from the board and still enjoys helping facility owners.

We are a Major sponsor of the Hahndorf Christkindlmarkt.

Able Self Storage Mile End opened on 1st July 2016 with secure, affordable self storage units and outside vehicle storage. Close to Thebarton, Keswick, Ashford, Brompton, Hindmarsh, Bowden, Adelaide airport and Adelaide CBD. We operated from 5 Rosslyn St, Mile End for 5 years but have closed that facility now.

We now also have our Adelaide self storage facility in Logan St, Adelaide CBD, which is unmanned but facilitated from our Mile End storage.
Strathalbyn is at 114 Milnes Rd and is large conventional self storage units under construction.

We pride ourselves on personalized service and are confident that you will not be disappointed in any way with our product and service. We offer Business storage and archive storage/document storage.
Packaging supplies and bubble wrap, storage boxes and moving boxes are sold in our online shop.

We are current members of the Self Storage Association of Australasia and have been since it began in South Australia.
